General Questions

About ClearView and how we work
Who is ClearView and how long have you been operating?
ClearView Windows & Doors Pvt. Ltd. was established in 2009 and has been serving homes and businesses across Pune and the surrounding Maharashtra region for over 15 years. We have completed more than 1,200 projects and maintain a 4.9-star average across Google and JustDial reviews.
Which areas of Pune do you cover?
We cover all areas of Pune and the PCMC region including Baner, Wakad, Hinjewadi, Kothrud, Aundh, Kalyani Nagar, Viman Nagar, Hadapsar, Pimpri, Chinchwad, Pimple Saudagar, Balewadi, Sus, Pashan, and surrounding areas. For locations beyond 25km from our Pimpri-Chinchwad base, a nominal travel charge may apply — we'll confirm this in your quote.
Do you work on residential and commercial projects?
Yes — we work on both. Residential projects include apartments, independent houses, villas, and bungalows. Commercial projects include offices, retail stores, hotels, hospitals, and industrial facilities. We have dedicated project managers for larger commercial contracts.
Is the initial site visit and consultation free?
Yes — our initial site visit and consultation is completely free with no call-out charge. During the visit, our specialist will take precise measurements, discuss your requirements, explain your options, and provide a written quote. There is absolutely no obligation to proceed.
How quickly can I get an appointment?
We typically schedule site visits within 24–48 hours of your initial enquiry, subject to availability. During peak season (October–March), slots may be slightly longer. Emergency visits for urgent situations like broken glass or water ingress can often be arranged within a few hours on weekdays.
Are your installers certified and insured?
Yes. All our installation team members are trained, certified, and supervised by our senior engineers. ClearView holds full public liability insurance and employer's liability insurance. We're happy to provide insurance certificates and qualification documentation upon request before work begins.
Do you offer EMI or financing options?
Yes. For projects above ₹50,000, we offer flexible payment arrangements including no-cost EMI through partner banks and NBFCs, and staged payment schedules. Please ask our team about current financing options when you receive your quote.

Window Installation

Types, materials, timing and process
What types of windows do you install?
We install all major window types including casement (hinged) windows, sliding windows, fixed/picture windows, bay and bow windows, tilt-and-turn windows, awning windows, and skylights. All types are available in uPVC, aluminium, or wooden frames depending on your requirements.
Which frame material is best — uPVC, aluminium, or wood?
Each material has different strengths:
  • uPVC — best all-round choice. Excellent insulation, zero maintenance, very durable, most affordable. Ideal for most Pune homes.
  • Aluminium — best for large spans and modern aesthetics. Very strong, slim profile, 200+ colour options. Slightly more expensive.
  • Wood — best for premium aesthetics and heritage homes. Excellent insulation but requires periodic maintenance. Most expensive option.
Our team will recommend the best material for your specific situation, budget, and home style during your free consultation.
How long does window installation take?
A single window typically takes 2–4 hours including removal of the old unit. A full 3BHK apartment with 8–12 windows is usually completed in a single day. Larger villas with complex windows may take 2–3 days. Your quote will specify the expected duration.
Will new windows reduce noise from outside?
Yes significantly. Properly sealed double-glazed windows can reduce external noise by up to 30–40dB compared to old single-glazed or poorly sealed frames. This is especially beneficial for homes near busy roads, railways, or commercial areas. We offer acoustic glazing upgrades for even greater noise reduction.
Can new windows reduce my electricity bill?
Yes. Double-glazed windows with thermally broken frames significantly reduce heat transfer — meaning less heat enters during summer and less escapes during winter. Customers typically report 15–30% reductions in cooling costs in the first full year after installation. The exact saving depends on your home's orientation, existing insulation, and AC usage.
Do you include mosquito mesh with windows?
Yes. Integrated fly screens and mosquito mesh are available for all sliding and casement window types. Options include fixed aluminium mesh, retractable pleated mesh, and magnetic mesh. These can be included in your window package or added at any time as a separate job.
Do I need permission from my housing society to replace windows?
This depends on your housing society's by-laws and the nature of the change. Like-for-like replacements (same size, same position) generally don't require permission. Changes to the external appearance of the building (different colour, significantly larger windows, or structural openings) may require a NOC. We provide all technical drawings and documentation to support your application.
Can you install windows in high-rise buildings above the 10th floor?
Yes — we have trained rope-access technicians and scaffolding arrangements for installations up to 20 floors. All high-rise work follows BIS safety standards. An access equipment charge is included in the quote for floors above the 4th.

Door Installation

Types, security, and fitting
What door types do you install?
We install front entry doors, interior doors (flush, panel, louvred, glass), French and patio doors, sliding glass doors, bi-fold and folding doors, and high-security steel doors. All types are available in steel, solid wood, engineered wood, uPVC, or aluminium and glass.
Do you install fire-rated doors?
Yes. We supply and install FD30 (30-minute) and FD60 (60-minute) fire-rated doors for locations that require them under Indian building codes — including between garages and living areas, stairwells, and commercial premises. All fire doors come with certified intumescent seals and compliant hardware.
What locking systems do you use?
All our exterior door installations include multi-point locking systems as standard — engaging 3 or 5 points in the frame simultaneously. We supply anti-drill, anti-pick, and anti-snap cylinders rated to TS007 3-star or equivalent Indian standards. Smart lock integration (Godrej, Yale, Schlage) is available as an upgrade.
How long does door installation take?
A single door typically takes 3–5 hours including removal of the old door and frame. Fitting all doors for a 3BHK home usually takes 1–2 days. French, bi-fold, and sliding door systems may take longer depending on complexity. Your quote will confirm the timeline.
Can you match the colour or finish of my existing doors?
Yes. uPVC and aluminium frames can be powder-coated or foil-wrapped in over 200 RAL colours. Wood can be stained or painted to any shade. We provide physical colour samples for you to compare against your existing décor before fabrication begins.
What happens if my door frame is not square or level?
Older homes commonly have out-of-square openings due to building settlement. Our team assesses this during the survey and either squares up the opening before installation or custom-fabricates the door to fit the existing opening precisely. This is identified and accounted for in your quote at no surprise cost.
Can you install bi-fold doors where I currently have a wall?
We can install the bi-fold door system itself. Creating a new structural opening in an existing wall requires a structural engineer's assessment and the insertion of an RSJ (lintel) — this is structural building work that falls outside our scope. We can recommend trusted structural engineers and coordinate with them on your project timeline.

Repair & Replacement

Fixing existing windows and doors
What repair services do you offer?
We repair and replace: broken or cracked glass (single pane, double-glazed units, safety glass), leaking frames and failed seals, stuck or jammed frames, broken locks, handles, and hinges, worn tracks and rollers on sliding doors and windows, misted double-glazed units, worn weatherstripping, and damaged mosquito mesh.
Is the repair diagnosis visit free?
Yes — our on-site diagnosis is completely free with no call-out fee. Our technician will inspect the issue, identify the root cause, and provide a written quote before any work begins. There is no obligation to proceed with the repair.
How quickly can you respond to an emergency repair?
For emergencies — broken glass, active water ingress, or damaged security — we offer priority same-day response during working hours (Mon–Sat, 9 AM–7 PM). We provide temporary boarding-up and emergency sealing where required to secure the property while parts are ordered.
Can you repair any brand of window or door?
Yes. We repair uPVC, aluminium, steel, and wooden windows and doors regardless of the original manufacturer or brand. We carry a wide stock of common hardware including locks, handles, hinges, rollers, gaskets, and glass across all major brands and profiles.
My windows leak every monsoon — can this be fixed permanently?
In most cases, yes. Monsoon leaks are caused by failed seals, damaged gaskets, blocked drainage channels, or gaps between the frame and the wall. We identify the exact source of the leak and reseal, replace gaskets, clear drainage, or apply appropriate flashing to create a permanent, weather-tight fix — not a temporary patch.
Should I repair or fully replace my windows?
Our technician will give you an honest, unbiased assessment. Generally, if the frame is structurally sound, repairing is cost-effective. If the frame is warped, rotten, severely corroded, or more than 20–25 years old, replacement is usually better value in the long run. We will never recommend replacement just to increase the job value.
Do repairs carry a warranty?
Yes — all repair work carries a 12-month workmanship guarantee. If the same problem recurs within 12 months of our repair, we return and fix it at no charge. Replacement parts (glass, hardware) carry the respective manufacturer's warranty in addition.

Custom Designs

Bespoke fabrication and unique shapes
Can you make a window in a completely non-standard shape?
Yes. Our CNC fabrication facility handles circular, elliptical, arched, triangular, hexagonal, trapezoidal, and completely irregular custom polygon shapes. If it can be drawn on a plan, we can fabricate it. We've completed everything from circular porthole windows to 5-metre wide arched feature windows.
Do you provide 3D visualisations before fabrication?
Yes — 3D renders are a standard part of our custom design process. We produce photorealistic visualisations showing your custom window or door installed in your actual space, with your chosen colours and materials, before any fabrication begins. You review and approve the design before we cut a single piece.
How long does a custom piece take from design to installation?
The typical timeline is: design consultation and renders (1 week), design approval and material selection (1 week), fabrication (2–4 weeks), and installation (1–3 days). Total lead time is usually 4–6 weeks from design approval to completion. Complex carved wooden pieces may take 6–8 weeks.
Can you work from my architect's drawings?
Absolutely — and we encourage it. We work directly from AutoCAD files, PDF drawings, or hand sketches. We also collaborate directly with architects and interior designers throughout the project and can attend site meetings when required.
How much more does a custom piece cost vs a standard one?
Custom pieces typically cost 20–60% more than comparable standard products, depending on complexity, shape, and materials. The exact premium reflects CNC setup time, bespoke fabrication, and the fact that non-standard items cannot be mass-produced. We provide a full itemised quote before you commit to anything.
Can I cancel a custom order once fabrication has started?
Unfortunately, custom-fabricated pieces cannot be cancelled once production has begun, as they are made to your specific design and cannot be resold. This is why we invest significant time in design approval and renders before we start cutting. Cancellations before fabrication begins may be eligible for a full deposit refund — please refer to our Terms of Service for full details.

Are there any hidden charges I should know about?
No — our quotes are fully itemised and transparent. The quoted price covers supply, fabrication, installation, hardware, sealing, and site clean-up. The only additional costs that could arise are: (a) GST on the quoted amount, (b) costs for structural work discovered after the survey that wasn't previously visible, or (c) high-rise access equipment for installations above the 4th floor. We communicate all of these before work begins.

Warranty & Aftercare

What's covered and for how long
What warranty do you offer on installations?
All new installations carry a 5-year workmanship warranty covering any defects in installation quality — including water ingress due to improper sealing, hardware malfunction due to incorrect fitting, misalignment, and operational issues caused by our work. Products (frames, glass, hardware) additionally carry the manufacturer's warranty, which is typically 10–15 years for uPVC profiles and 10 years for aluminium frames. All warranty documentation is issued on project completion.
What is not covered by the warranty?
Our warranty does not cover: accidental damage or vandalism, normal wear and tear (e.g. gradual seal compression over many years), damage caused by third-party work after our installation, damage from structural movement or building settlement, and failure to follow our maintenance care guide. If you're unsure whether a particular issue is covered, call us and we'll assess it honestly.
How do I make a warranty claim?
To make a warranty claim, contact us by phone at +91 98765 43210 or email at hello@clearviewpune.in with your name, installation date, and a description (with photos if possible) of the issue. We will acknowledge your claim within 2 business days and schedule an inspection visit. Valid claims are remedied at no charge, with return visits typically within 7–14 days of the claim being approved.
